Sometimes the exploration of the shape of one object inspires another object. It often happens in Pròsper Riba Vilardell’s creations and designs: the Escates sculptural series gave rise to the Eclipsis lamp, the Little Dancers
give rise to the Big Dancers… And the distillation of the Garfio centrepiece has generated the Hook.
The Hook is a glass blown wall hanger, the result of a collaboration with the architect Juli Capella.
The pairs of Hooks – asymmetrical, two-coloured and of different sizes – are an invitation to transgress the predictability of the utilitarian hanger to see it as a playful element, capable of holding fun and unexpected objects and with the
potential for harmonisation and chromatic combination in different spaces:
kitchens, bathrooms, studies, bedrooms, hallways, exteriors….
Materials: transparent glass + coloured glass rods
The blowing, shaping and polishing are entirely handmade.
